Buckle up. I'll take you through a short summary of the "Social Badger Marketing" journey so far.
Where it Started
I had the idea of starting a marketing business at University (ironically from a social media advert!). Alongside my course, I began to study marketing to find what I needed to start.
I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Automotive Materials Engineering and an ever-growing desire to travel the world.
After graduation, I started a new role in Ipswich, Suffolk (my hometown... ish). The plan was to run Social Badger Marketing alongside a full-time job until I was earning enough to just focus on freelance.
But life is life... and I crashed my car one morning on my way to work.
Rather than replacing the car, I "down-spec'd" and handed my notice in. I used the insurance money to keep me afloat whilst I went all-in on freelance copywriting.
Fast forward to now, I'm at a point where I'm able to travel the world and work on the go.
The pandemic threw a spanner in the works with travel but propelled my freelance work to new heights.
Since then, I've run campaigns across the UK, Europe and even parts of Asia.
I've now visited 31 countries (and counting!) and have most recently spent a month in Porto, Portugal.
The main image on the home page is the River Douro that runs through Porto - there are great sunsets!
